One of my goals with this website is to share what I learn about decarbonization. In this blog, I want to share a source where you can learn and appreciate the role and the need for updating everything about our transmission lines. 

The podcast is called Volts and its author is David Roberts. Mr. Roberts ran a series of podcasts on transmission lines beginning at the end of January of this year (2021). There were five installments running to February 17 with a podcast combining them all on February 19.

I highly recommend listening to them if you want to better understand why transmission lines are such a big deal. One does not need to be an engineer, an economist, or a politician to understand them. Mr. Roberts is not any of those and explains things in such a manner that anyone can understand.
